Nightmares

I had a really bad nightmare last night and it wouldn't let me wake up. My mind fooled me into thinking that i woke up but i didn't. It was a horrible experience just lying there in bed completely paralyzed for about 10 minutes!

Have you ever had an experience like this?

  1. You were awake. You experienced a night terror. When you sleep you brain releases a chem and that puts your body into a catonic (or paralysis) state. shit sucks bro. sometimes when you wake up from a nightmare your body fails to have the chem wear off. :(

  5. I know someone who had flashbacks, like these. Her body would be conscious bot not her mind. Her mind would be somewhere else, wherever/whenever she was flashing back to.

  7. i get sleep paralysis on my way down, I find it quite an interesting experience. But yes if I was having a twilight zone nightmare it would be unnerving.

  9. Can't say I ever have. I'm actually a lucid dreamer and generally have almost full control over everything I dream. I only recently found out that this is odd. :/

That aside, I'm very sorry. That really sucks that it happened to you.

  11. I had this a lot when I was younger. The first time it happened I thought there was a weird cube with eyes and a pointy nose looking at me from the foot of my bed...

    Freaky shit

  20. Nightmares suck! I had a dram that wouldn't let me wake up when I was a kid. I guess it happens a lot to kids. Sucks. =(
